Some 86 students and 20 accompanying teachers landed safely in Israel today (Friday), after leaving the Czech Republic before the attack on Iran on the night between Thursday and Friday. The students returned on a special rescue flight organized by the Ministry of Education.
This is a school delegation and not an official delegation from the Ministry of Education. However, the ministry led the entire process - from the moment of identification, through flight coordination, 24/7 security throughout their stay, and organizing transportation directly to their homes from Ben Gurion Airport.
"Since the fighting began, we have closely accompanied the delegation of students and teachers who found themselves in a difficult reality far from home. The families waited anxiously, and we did everything necessary to bring their children back safely," said Education Minister Yoav Kish.
